A spicy transfer? Real Madrid star doesn’t rule out a move to Barcelona, Juventus also in the mix
Transfers between Barcelona and Real Madrid are not very frequent, especially direct ones without a transfer stop. But now there is a risk that one will take place. The Catalans are after a man who has not been given much space this season under Carlo Ancelotti.
Transfers between Barcelona and Real Madrid are not very frequent, especially direct ones without a transfer stop. But now there is a risk that one will take place. The Catalans are after a man who has not been given much space this season under Carlo Ancelotti.
Barcelona are back in the limelight under the legendary Xavi and with new signings. However, it hasn’t reached perfection yet and is looking for more reinforcements, among other things, reportedly considering the return of Lionel Messi.
However, that’s not all. There could also be a very spicy transfer as the Catalans are interested in the Real Madrid star. Maybe not one of the greatest, but nobody can question the quality of Marco Asensio.
Asensio’s left-footedness commands respect. He is a technically gifted all-rounder who can cover not only the wing spaces but also the central offensive midfielder position. He is not getting the minutes he would like at Real Madrid this season.
It’s questionable how much better he would be at Barcelona, but it could be worth a shot. Asensio could certainly help the Catalans with his skills. Moreover, in an interview during the national break, he refused to rule out a move to Camp Nou.
Asensio has a contract at Real Madrid until the summer. From January he will be able to sign for free with any club. However, Barcelona are not the only team interested in the 26-year-old’s services.
Juventus, who have a lot of experience with the arrival of players without contracts, are also considering the arrival of the Spanish international. Moreover, Asensio was linked with Manchester United in the summer.
