Prague Slavia will play the second game of the Conference League. After a 1:1 draw with Sivaspor, they will welcome Balkani home and are the clear favourites to win. After the disappointment of the first match, they will want to make amends, how will the match turn out?
In the first match, Slavia did not show an ideal performance. They opened the scoring in the first ten minutes, but then they started to lose balls lazily, wasted chances and let a stupid goal in.
As a cherry on the cake, Lukáš Provod missed a penalty just before the end. The president Jaroslav Tvrdík apologized on Twitter for the unworthy performance.
In the league, however, the Susians are on a roll. At the weekend, they swept České Budějovice with six goals and after 8 rounds they have already scored 31 goals. They are doing especially well at home in Eden, where they have won all their matches this season.
Balkani is a clear outsider, but in the first match the Kosovan club drew with Cluj, the equalising goal was scored in the 91st minute.
Slavia have been scoring a lot of goals lately. It is more in the domestic league, but it should show it in Europe as well. And where else but on their home field, where they are doing so well.
Moreover, Trpišovský’s team will be driven by a sold-out Eden, the only blemish being the injury of their leader Tomáš Holeš. Before Sunday’s game in Plzeň, the Slavs will want to be in a good mood, so I expect a lot of goals to be scored.
