A draw against Sivaspor in the Conference Europa League is not a result that would satisfy the Sevilla team. And certainly not a performance that was not to the coach’s liking. After the game, back David Douděra also said a few words to the club website.

The Sevilla team had an unsuccessful match against Turkish Sivasspor. Slavia took an early lead, but by the end of the half the equaliser came.
At the end of the match Lukáš Provod missed a penalty kick and the Sešiovans will take only a point to Prague. The fans are not taking it, especially because Sivasspor is not shining in the league.
It hasn’t won a single game there and its performance against Slavia was certainly not unbeatable. However, the Slavs failed to take advantage of some goal scoring opportunities.
“We have to examine our conscience. It may be the first match, but we are playing for Slavia Prague. We don’t look at the opponent, we just have to look at ourselves, at our game. When I go on the pitch, I’m determined to die there and it doesn’t matter if we’re playing a friendly, a league game with Pardubice or European football.
You play football for why you play it, to die for the team you play for, the team that pays you. We have failed to do that. It was out there, but for me it’s definitely a loss,” he said in an interview with the club’s website.
But the chance to redeem themselves will come on Sunday, when the Sevivans host České Budějovice. Then on Thursday they play their second group match, at home against Ballkani.
