Prague S footballers got the chance to play against the famous Real Madrid. Slavia was the first to play, and they held on bravely, but they were not enough for the royal team and lost 0:2.
Even before the start of the match it was certain that the defence and especially the young goalkeeper Olivia Lukášová would not be bored. And it was so from the first minutes.
Real Madrid made the first breakthrough in the 13th minute when Esther Gonzalez Rodriguez opened the scoring. The twenty-nine year old footballer scored fourteen times in the league last season.
Moments later, Slavia’s goalkeeper showed her skills and did not allow the lead to be increased. Slavia could have equalised, but Tereza Szewieczková was unable to get past the visitors’ goalkeeper.
In the 32nd minute the score changed, but not in the way the fans in the stadium wanted. Caroline Weir ran onto the back post and Lukášová had no time to react.
But she was the one who showed her qualities five minutes later against a ground shot. The second half offered a better chance after less than an hour of play, but the Slavs were saved by Meline Gerard.
The match did not offer any more goals and Real Madrid won 2: 0. Nevertheless, the Slavs got their thanks and now it is Sparta’s turn to challenge the Spanish team from the capital on Saturday. The match will be played on Saturday at 11 am.
