Vasil Ducár has another big sporting challenge ahead of him. On Saturday, he will face the undefeated Jordan Thompson for the IBF European Boxing Champion title in England.
The best boxer in the Czech Republic, a huge professional and an exemplary sportsman. Vasil Ducár is, among other things, a police officer in the Special Forces. He has already had many big fights and now he faces another challenge.
The Moravian native from Znojmo will be in another title fight on Saturday. After he failed to beat WBA Intercontinental cruiserweight champion Mike Perez in Dubai in March, he will now fight for the IBF European title.
After the loss to Perez, Ducár fixed his taste and mood in June, when he defeated Marek Prochazka in his hometown Znojmo and confirmed that there is no better boxer in our country.
On Saturday in Sheffield, England, he will challenge Jordan Thompson, who currently holds a 13:0 record. So he could be the first to beat him. But this is a tough opponent.
Moreover, Kaocko.cz reports that the last few days have not been easy for Ducar. His wife gave birth on Monday, so he has been very nervous for some time.
“I was nervous, I won’t lie. Fortunately, my wife gave birth on Monday and everything went well. We left for the maternity ward at 1am and by 3:20am the little one was born,” Ducar was heard saying.
He left the maternity hospital at 6am for training and left for England on Wednesday. He has to undergo weigh-ins on Friday and Saturday before the match. He is aware of the quality of his opponent. He will return to his family on Sunday.
