Brazil is in mourning. Legendary fighter Leandro Lo is dead. The only 33-year-old wrestler was shot dead by a police officer at a concert in Sao Paulo on Sunday morning. The news was confirmed by his lawyer , according to MMA Fighting.
The officer’s suspicions are stated in a police report that was released during Sunday afternoon. The police report states that witnesses testified that the cause of the murder was a trivial dispute over a bottle of alcohol.
The officer allegedly took the bottle from the fighter’s desk, prompting the jiu-jitsu fighter to take it down and hold it on the ground. After the two men were separated, the officer got to his feet, pulled out a handgun and shot the known fighter in the forehead. Lo was taken to a hospital in Sao Paulo, but died hours later from the gunshot wound.
