PAOK vs. Levski Sofia: Preview and betting tips

The biggest surprise of the first matches of the second round of the Conference Europa League came in Bulgaria, where Levski Sofia defeated PAOK Thessaloniki 2-0. What to expect from the rematch and what to bet on?

PAOK came out of their friendlies against Dutch teams during the summer training with a balanced record of one win, a draw and a loss. In any case, the loss in Bulgaria was a big shame and also a loss of important points in the coefficient.

Levski won the league cup last year and subsequently lost only once out of seven times in the preparation. For the rematch, they have a two-goal lead, which may not be enough against a clear favourite on their hot soil.

Jasmin Kurtic is the mainstay of the home side, the Slovenian offensive midfielder netted eighteen goals and assisted five times last season. Serbian point forward Andrija Zivkovic scored seven times and assisted four times.

Bilal Bari is having an excellent start to the new season, the Moroccan forward has scored three times and assisted twice in three games. The young Bulgarian midfielder Filip Krastev has two goals after three games.

PAOK rely on their goal attack, last year they had the best one in the league after Olympiakos, on the other hand it didn’t work much in the preparation.

Levski, on the other hand, is on a roll and has scored at least two goals in six of their last seven games.

Considering the strength of the home turmoil in Thessaloniki, I think PAOK will win by at least two goals after regulation time.
