Monster didn’t tell the Octagon about the move to the RFA? Novotny says he hasn’t spoken to Knight since April!

Ondrej Novotny, owner and promoter of Oktagon, finally commented on Peter “MONSTER” Knizhet’s transfer to RFA. The fighter has reportedly not said a word to him about the move to a rival organization.

MMA organization Real Fight Arena recently shocked the mixed martial arts world when it announced the transfer of a big name on the domestic scene. It signed the legendary Peter Knizhet from the rival Octagon.

This is yet another wedge driven into the already tarnished relationship between the two organizations. Communication within the organizations is clearly failing and tensions are rising. Ondřej Novotný, the promoter of Oktagon, has now also commented on the transfer of his charge.

“I haven’t met Monster yet, we promise to meet in April,” Novotny surprised in his podcast MMA Flight Around the World. “For me, everything in quotes is the same as before, I haven’t seen anything that will change that,” he commented on the Monster situation.

“I haven’t seen it yet, so I’m not going to comment on it yet, but if it was, it’s a little strange to hear it this way,” he responded to a post by a commenter who wrote that RFA had already announced Prince.

“Of course I am not sitting with a lid on my head and I have heard a lot about it,” Novotný said. “Good luck, that’s about all I can say about it,” he concluded the topic of the transfer firmly.

Monster had let it be known some time ago that he had received an offer from the RFA, and it was financially vastly different from what he was making in the Octagon.

But if it’s true that he didn’t tell the promoters of the Octagon about his intention to leave the ranks of the organization, it’s at least a strange communication with his employer, where he’s been since last May and was given the opportunity to fight for the Welterweight championship belt this year.

But behind the scenes information is not available to any of us, and we’ll have to wait for a statement from the transfer player himself. Time may tell.
