VIDEO: What does El Clásico look like from a player’s perspective? Real showed great footage from Alab’s body camera
Playing El Clásico, whether in a Real Madrid or Barcelona jersey, is every little footballer’s dream. Only a select few get to do it, but you can at least get a taste of the atmosphere as you take the field from the camera on the body worn by David Alaba.
Playing El Clásico, whether in a Real Madrid or Barcelona jersey, is every little footballer’s dream. Only a select few get to do it, but you can at least get a taste of the atmosphere as you take the field from the camera on the body worn by David Alaba.
Although the El Clásico competition isn’t scheduled in La Liga until October 16, both teams were in Las Vegas this summer for a US tour. Barcelona won the friendly 1-0.
The game was played at Allegiant Stadium, where the Las Vegas Raiders play their NFL games. Football is not that popular in the USA and has several sports ahead of it, such as American football, basketball, baseball or hockey. It’s just that the US also has a lot of citizens from Latin America, for whom, on the other hand, football is a religion.
It was these fans who filled the 65,000-capacity stadium and created an awe-inspiring atmosphere for El Clásico.
And you have the chance to enjoy the start of it for yourself. That’s because Real Madrid strapped a camera to David Alaba’s body and then posted a video on the social network Tiktok of what it looks like when you enter a packed stadium for El Clásico.
Alaba entered the pitch last, looked around at the huge stadium and then it was his turn to shake hands with his opponents. The video symbolically ended with him meeting and smiling with Robert Lewandowski, with whom he spent 7 years at Bayern.
In the coming days, Real Madrid could also bring footage of the game, which would certainly be even more interesting.
