Hložek made a great debut
The moment that many Leverkusen fans and Czech football fans alike have been waiting for has finally arrived. Adam Hložek made his first appearance in the jersey of his new club.
Bayer took on Panathinaikos, the famous Greek team, in beautiful Austria in preparation for the new season. The former Sparta player played the entire second half and it is safe to say that he was one of the best players on the pitch.
He created chances, showed his footballing skills and even got himself on the end twice. The German media and coach Gerardo Seoane praised him.
“He did very well. He is determined and has a robust physique. He has already noticed that he is playing with more intensity for us. He still needs some time, but he is definitely a great promise for the future,” Seoane told Bild.
Schick has also joined
Patrik Schick also started the match against the famous Greek club, but unfortunately he was not seen as much. However, this is not that unusual in his game at Leverkusen. He is not often involved in the midfield.
The Czech striker played the entire first half, during which he mostly didn’t get any chances, nor did he create any. Leverkusen eventually drew 0:0 with Panathinaikos.
