Bayer Leverkusen have bought Adam Hložek from Sparta Prague and he has met Patrik Schick, the club’s main striker who absolutely shone last season.
The summer training is in full swing and now the German side will play their opening friendly against Duisburg in the third tier of the German league. The match will be streamed on YouTube.
Hložek has been training with the team for a relatively short period of time, as he has been given an extended holiday by the club to get himself mentally and medically fit for the new season.
However, he is going to get some time in this match, which starts at 15:30 and partially coincides with the one Sparta plays against Wolfsberger.
Will he start alongside Patrik Schick? That’s the question, as this is only the first game and two elevens are expected to be rotated, but the chance is certainly there and not small.
There are tougher duels on the schedule after that, with Panathinaikos of Greece and Udinese of Italy. At the end of July, Bayer will face a cup tie with Elverberg and then the league carousel, with the opening Bundesliga match away to Borussia Dortmund.
