Velez vs. Rosario: Preview and betting tips
The second phase of the Argentine league is underway and Velez Sarsfield certainly didn’t enter it as expected. After three rounds, he has only one point, but against Rosario he will be the favourite. What to expect from the match and what to bet on?

Velez is not experiencing an ideal start to the season, as one of the leading teams in the league after a draw in the first round, they lost twice and are still waiting for a win. They are second to last in the table, but a win on Tuesday could propel them into the top half of the league in a tight competition.
Rosario finished the regular season in last place, but are currently satisfied. A draw in the opening round, followed by a loss and an important win on Friday, which moved the league outsider to eighteenth place, one point off the top of the table.
Lucas Janson is the mainstay of the home team, the agile winger has already scored ten times and assisted one goal. Talented 22-year-old striker Luca Orellano has scored three goals and assisted six times.
The visitors stand on the goals of veteran Marco Ruben, the thirty-five-year-old forward has netted four goals and assisted twice. Diminutive 20-year-old left winger Luciano Ferreyra scored twice.
Velez boasts a well-functioning defense, getting more than one goal in only two of the last eight games.
Moreover, Rosario has not scored at all, scoring only twice in the last four games.
Given the form of Velez’s defence, striker Janson and Rosario’s offensive woes, I expect the home side to win.
