Václav Černý was the best Czech on the field! Praise came from the football public as well
Václav Černý used to be considered one of the greatest talents in Czech football. The native of Příbram spent several seasons at Ajax Amsterdam, but he never fully established himself at the prestigious Dutch club. He has also been hampered by injuries in the recent past, but has shown tremendous quality in the Nations League.
Václav Černý was one of the best Czech players against Spain. Visually, the footballing public took notice and everything was subsequently confirmed by the prestigious statistics server WhoScored. Thanks to his interesting numbers, he was selected as the best Czech on the pitch.
The Czech Republic lost to the favoured Spain 0:2. However, the Czechs managed to create some promising opportunities, which they unfortunately failed to take advantage of. In Málaga, the aforementioned Černý, whose performance certainly turned the head of coach Šilhavy, who has another interesting option.
Václav Černý spent about 60 minutes on the pitch and was very visible. He looked very confident, skilful (with and without the ball) and he has a decent speed.
WhoScored gave the 24-year-old winger a rating of 6.67. Cerny had 23 touches with the ball during the game, about 55% passing success rate, finished 3 times and created one key pass to Jan Kuchta.
The lower pass success rate was also due to the fact that the skilful left-back often tried to look for direct and final passes. Černý also had one successful dribble, once he won the ball in a foot-to-foot duel and twice he intercepted the opponent’s pass.
Even the football public noticed his performance! Luděk Mádl praised him on Twitter and more or less everyone agreed with his post.
After the match, the Czech man of the match was unpleasantly surprised by a reporter who asked him a strange question. Just to explain, the left-footed footballer almost always plays over the foot, even in the Dutch top flight for Twente.
