Pérez: Mbappé better stay at PSG, I don’t want him like that. In Qatar they give you things that make you crazy
Kylian Mbappé shocked everyone with his decision not to go to Real Madrid, even though he kept saying it was his dream. Even club president Florentino Pérez, who doesn’t even want Mbappé.
Kylian Mbappé shocked everyone with his decision not to go to Real Madrid, even though he kept saying it was his dream. Even club president Florentino Pérez, who doesn’t even want Mbappé.
For almost the whole season, everyone was counting on Kylian Mbappé going to Real Madrid as a free agent. Already last year Los Blancos sent an offer for him to Paris and the player himself later expressed that he wanted to leave for Madrid.
But when he actually had the opportunity and nothing prevented him, the Frenchman signed a new, fat and unseen in the football world contract. This upset not only all Real Madrid fans, but also the club president.
He was a guest on El Chirinquito on Wednesday night and talked about Mbappé at some length.
“It will be better if Mbappé stays at PSG because this is not the Mbappé I know. I don’t even want him like this now. No player is bigger than Real Madrid,” Pérez lashed out at the French striker.
“It was Mbappé’s dream to play for Real. But he didn’t come because he was under enormous economic and political pressure. Even the president of France called him. That’s a completely different world, there are other clubs in France, I don’t know why these things happen, ” the Real Madrid president added.
“Mbappé was under enormous pressure from Qatar and the presidency. It’s not easy when the president calls you to stay in Paris, it’s not normal. You go to Qatar and they give you things that drive you crazy. I’ve never seen anything like that. Because of that Mbappé turned around,” added the experienced president.
Although no one can imagine Mbappé’s future commitment in Madrid at the moment, Pérez does not rule it out.
“I did not say that Mbappé’s transfer to Madrid is impossible. Things can change in 3 years. The doors of Real Madrid are open to all great players who are willing to understand the greatness of this club,” Pérez said.
