Real Madrid won the Champions League and La Liga this year and will bring another batch of joy to its fans in the autumn. That’s when the new Santiago Bernabéu will open spectacularly, becoming the best stadium in the world.

If you are a football connoisseur, Estadio Santiago Bernabéu is a place you must visit at least once in your life. It will inspire you with the magic that drives Real Madrid, especially in the European Cups, but it is also unique in its appearance both inside and out.

Until now, it has been iconic for its four towers that rise on the corners of the stadium. Although the new Bernabéu will lose these, Florentino Pérez is planning a spectacular super-modern stadium, which he has described as the best in the world.

In fact, the Nuevo Santiago Bernabéu is not just counting on Los Blancos matches to make money for itself. Inside you will find, for example, a large department store with luxury clothing brands or a Michelin-starred restaurant.

In addition, the Chamartín area of Madrid will host NFL, NBA, tennis, concerts and esports competitions. All of this will be provided by the outdoor areas that are currently being installed. That is why the lower sector of the opposite and south stands is covered by blue tarpaulins during Real matches.

This is the final result of Real Madrid’s new stadium, which will be the most modern in the world.

And when will it finally open? Thanks to the pandemic that hit the world in 2020, the royal club has moved quite a bit with the construction. In fact, the Merengues have played the entire 2020/21 season at the training ground in Valdebebas.

The stadium wasn’t due to open until 2023, but thanks to this acceleration, it is expected to open in December, reports MARCA.

President Florentino Pérez aims to inaugurate the stadium on 14 December 2022, in time for the World Cup in Qatar.
