Sadio Mané is indeed set to leave Liverpool, according to Fabrizio Romano. The player himself has already stirred speculation regarding his departure in recent months and now it should all be clear.
So where could the Senegalese striker be heading to? According to the latest speculation, German big club Bayern Munich are very interested in Mané, where Mané would replace Robert Lewandowski.
Mané arrived at Liverpool on 1 July 2016 from Southampton for €41.2 million. He thus spent six years at Anfield Road, during which he celebrated a title win, a Champions League championship or FA Cup or English League Cup triumphs with the Reds.
Liverpool will thus most likely be looking to sell Mané in this summer transfer window.
This is because Mané’s current contract expires at the end of June 2023 and he would leave Liverpool for free.
According to The Guardian, the club’s management is still trying to convince Mané to extend his contract with the English vice-champion.
Mané has played a total of 269 games for Liverpool, scoring 120 goals and adding forty-eight assists.
