Paulo Dybala spent seven years at Juventus. He has grown to love the Old Lady, after his arrival he was one of the key pillars of the team heading for the Champions League, but now he says goodbye to Juventus. And it was a very moving farewell.
Dybala arrived as a youngster from Palermo, but he didn’t need a long acclimatisation at Juventus. In his very first season in 2015/16, he scored 19 goals and added 9 assists in the league, 2 goals in the cup and he also scored once in the Champions League.
Finally, he collected 115 goals and 92 assists in 292 games for Juventus in seven seasons. His contract expires in the summer and Dybala was not going anywhere and wanted to extend his contract, but the club was no longer interested in his services.
So the Argentine footballer said goodbye to the fans after his last home game, whom he entertained with his finesse, direct kicks and accurate left foot. And it was a very emotional farewell in tears.
Dybala certainly deserves to be thanked for his services, but his popularity among the fans might drop a bit from the new season onwards. In fact, there is a lot of talk about Dybala’s departure to a rival, with Inter Milan very interested.
But Dybala has always been loyal to Juventus. In his greatest glory he was courted by Barcelona and Real Madrid, but the 28-year-old Argentine has always remained loyal to the bianconeri.
However, the management has now decided, also due to his frequent injuries, not to extend his contract. It is thus quite possible that he will arrive at the Allianz Stadium next season in the jersey of the hated Inter Milan.
