“The result is what it is. We won and now we have to prepare for the game against Leeds. We will travel to Spain next week and we will try to get the best result,” the Spanish coach told the club’s website
“It was a fantastic game from both teams. We did a lot of things well. Unfortunately we received goals and we couldn’t score any more,“ Guardiola continued.
Manchester City have never won the Champions League. It has come significantly closer to the trophy in recent seasons, having made it all the way to the final. However, Guardiola knows the recipe for success as he has already won the Champions League twice with Spain’s Barcelona.
“My experience is that to win this competition you have to overcome the situations that football brings you. ”
“We played a fantastic game against an incredible team, Guardiola continued to assess the performance of his charges. The situations from which Real Madrid came back into the game we gave them. Our midfield was very nervous. ”
Manchester City dominated the match and despite scoring four goals set up many more chances but failed to take advantage of them. Real Madrid, on the other hand, were extremely effective.

Manchester City travel to Madrid next Wednesday to play for a place in the Champions League final itself.
