Sevilla vs. Cadiz: Preview and betting tips
Sevilla are still not guaranteed to play in the Champions League next season and will be looking to get closer to it against Cadiz at home. However, the visiting team is locked in a fight for salvation, so it too needs at least a draw.
Sevilla have struggled since the end of March, winning only two of their last seven games and dropping out of the Europa League. It is third in the league table and has a six-point lead over fifth-placed city rival Betis.
Cádiz, on the other hand, has picked itself up and is fighting valiantly to save itself, having gained a respectable seven points from the last five rounds. They are seventeenth in the table, but have a one-point lead on the relegation zone.
Sevilla mainstay Youssef En-Nesyri remains behind expectations this season, through all competitions the burly playmaker has scored just three goals and assisted three times. Spanish striker Rafa Mir has so far found the net twelve times.
Cádiz are led by former Spain international Álvaro Negredo, with experience at Manchester City and Valencia, who has nine goals and five assists. Central midfielder Álex Fernández has three goals and one assist.
Sevilla has struggled especially in defence, although it has long been its biggest weapon. It has conceded at least two goals in four of its last six games.
Cadiz, on the other hand, doesn’t score many goals, scoring more than once in only one of their last six games.
Given the form of Cadiz’s offense, I expect Sevilla to take the game and win.
