Football midfielder Michal Sadílek has joined Twente Enschede, where he was on loan this season. The Slovácko product is leaving PSV Eindhoven for good. He has signed a contract until 2024 with an option for the following season.
Sadílek went to PSV at the age of 16 on a loan deal. He then agreed a three-year contract with the management in spring 2016. At the beginning he played for the local youth teams. In 2018, he made his debut in a match of the “áčka” team.
In the 2020/2021 season he was a guest in Liberec, where he scored six goals in 24 matches. During the last season, two Sadileks played in the top competition, Michal’s older brother Lukáš is a player of Slovácko.
The 22-year-old midfielder returned to the Netherlands in the summer, but did not spend the season at his club from Eindhoven. He was a guest at Twente, where he became a solid part of the starting line-up. In his 28 appearances so far, he has scored once and assisted twice. He also drew attention to himself in a negative sense when he received a red card in a match at Utrecht.
The management of this club appreciates Sadilek’s services, so they offered him to turn his current guest appearance into a transfer. According to Transfermarkt, his current value is two and a half million euros. His contract at PSV would expire at the end of this season.
Michal Sadilek has previously played for the Czech national youth teams. For example, he took part in the 2017 European Under-19 Championship in Georgia or last year’s European Under-19 Championship in Slovenia. He made his senior national team debut last year in a friendly against Italy, which Squadra Azzura won 4-0.
