Is Paris Saint-Germain worth it? Lionel Messi gets ten million euros for every league goal

The 34-year-old joined the Parisians last summer as a free agent after failing to agree terms on a new contract at Barcelona.
Lionel Messi came to Paris Saint-Germain with high expectations and hopes after winning seven Ballon d’Or during his time at Camp Nou.
But so far he hasn’t been very successful and can’t quite get back to the much-feared goalscoring form he displayed in the Catalan capital.
In his 21 games in the top French competition, he has scored only three goals.
The Argentine will earn €30 million net in his first season in the French capital, meaning each of his goals cost the Ligue 1 leaders a whopping €10 million.
However, the striker did record thirteen league assists during that season, helping Mauricio Pochettino’s team win a record tenth league title.
