Chelsea have an important Champions League match on Saturday, they travel to Southampton. The Blues will try to atone for two losses in a row, with Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham breathing down their necks. What to expect from the game?
Southampton are quietly in the middle of the table thanks to a good spring, currently twelfth and fourteen points ahead of the relegation places. However, their form is not ideal, having lost four of their last five games.
Chelsea failed to reach the Champions League quarter-finals against Real Madrid (1: 3) and lost to Brentford 1: 4 at the weekend. Nevertheless, they are in third place, five points ahead of fifth-placed Arsenal.
The English midfielder has already scored seven goals and assisted four times. Scottish striker Che Adams is also performing well, with three assists to go with his seven goals.
Mason Mount is shining for the visitors, the Chelsea offensive midfielder has scored eight times and assisted twelve. German offensive all-rounder Kai Havertz scored twelve times and assisted seven.
Southampton’s attacking prowess stopped in March, scoring just four goals in their last five games.
Chelsea, on the other hand, are looking good after the national break, first losing 1: 4 to Brentford, then 1: 3 to Real Madrid in the week. Both times at home.
Considering the poor productivity of the home team, I think Chelsea will come through and win.
