Raphinha hot stuff. PSG, Bayern and Barcelona want the Brazilian
This is only Raphinha’s second season in the Premier League, and it could also be his last, at least for a while. The 25-year-old Brazilian’s services are in great demand in Spain, France and Germany.
This is only Raphinha’s second season in the Premier League, and it could also be his last, at least for a while. The 25-year-old Brazilian’s services are in great demand in Spain, France and Germany.
Like many Brazilians, Raphinha came to Europe via Portugal. From Guimaraes he headed to Sporting Lisbon, where he was bought out by French side Rennes after one successful season. Seven goals, four assists and great performances ensured that after just one year in Ligue 1 he moved again, this time to England.
He was scouted by Leeds United, who had just been promoted to the Premier League. Raphinha managed to start 30 league games and scored 6 goals to which he added 9 assists.
This season he is even better in terms of goalscoring. He has already scored 9 goals in 27 games, plus 3 assists. The Brazilian winger is one of the brighter things Leeds have to offer this year. The latter is not doing too well and is mired in the relegation playoffs.
And that’s what other teams would like. In that case, Raphinha would almost certainly move on and his price in the Championship would drop quite a bit. Transfermarkt currently puts his value at €45 million, and in the event of relegation, perhaps a deal could be struck with Leeds for around €35 million.
And who is interested in the 25-year-old chic? There are three teams in the front line. PSG, Bayern Munich and Barcelona. All world-class giants who would like to expand their attacking ranks.
Whether or not Leeds get relegated, it is almost certain that Raphinha will be moving to a more prestigious address in the summer. So he can take his pick of Germany, France or Spain.
