Leeds vs. Tottenham: Preview and betting tips

Tottenham travel to Leeds on Saturday and if they want to think about the Champions League, they should win in Yorkshire. The home side, on the other hand, need a cushion of points as they are already dangerously close to the relegation zone. What to expect from the game?

Leeds are experiencing a much worse season than last year, currently in 15th place, while a year ago they were playing for European Cups. The relegation places are only three points ahead of them, while eighteenth-placed Burnley have two games in hand.

Tottenham are also struggling. The only win in the last five rounds is a truly terrible calling card, all the more so because the losses came against Burnley and Southampton. From the eighth place, the Londoners are three points behind the Top 6.

The hosts rely on Raphinha, the Brazilian winger has scored nine league goals, assisted twice and keeps the Whites afloat. Nineteen-year-old Joe Gelhardt has one goal and three assists.

Harry Kane is slowly getting into better form, yet his 7+2 record is poor for a striker of his quality. It is the Korean Heung Min Son who is in a league of his own, his nine goals and six assists keeping Spurs in contention for the Champions League.

Leeds’ defence is in tatters, with Marcelo Bielsa’s charges conceding an appalling sixteen goals in the last four rounds.

The other side will also be facing a poor defensive performance. Tottenham in Antonio Conte’s famous 3-5-2 formation have scored twelve times in their last six games.

Considering the improving form of Kane and especially the horrible performance of the Leeds defence, I think Spurs will win.
