Michelle Waterson is one of the most popular UFC fighters, she also regularly appears in various rankings of the most beautiful MMA fighters ever. But now her career is in jeopardy.
The 36-year-old fighter was preparing for a fight with Amanda Ribas, which was supposed to take place on March 26, but it cannot take place after all, as Waterson has just pulled out of the fight.
“I’m praying for it to be a short break. I had to stop training and it’s heartbreaking. I hope the fight still takes place. If I don’t deal with my injury, it could mean the end of my career,” the likeable fighter expressed on Instagram.
In her post, among other things, she added that she was excited about the fight with Ribas. She is also aware that her opponent was equally looking forward to the fight. She therefore hopes that the fight will eventually happen sooner or later.
Waterson was then also looking forward to improving her record. After all, she had lost three of her last four duels, yet before that she was on a three-game winning streak and was one of the potential title challengers. But in the end, she never got the chance.
