Procházka trains for the title fight in the USA
As we recently informed you, Jiri “BJP” Procházka traveled to the U.S. to train for his title shot within the UFC organization on May 7 against Brazilian veteran Glover Teixeira.
Jirka traveled to the Fight Ready Gym at the invitation of Henry Cejudo, an Olympic champion and former UFC title holder in two weight classes.
As we know, Teixeira is an excellent ground and pound fighter, so it is expected that they will try to test the wrestling of our fighter, who is generally considered to be a great stand-up fighter, in a joint match. Henry Cejudo’s experience could be pivotal for Jirka in the title fight.
The walker is in special care
For the first time since Prochazka’s arrival, Henry Cejudo is evaluating his fighting skills and his mind-set. “I’ve trained with names like Weili Zhang, Deiveson Figueredo and Jon Jones. In short, with the elite of the elite,” confirming on The Triple C & Schmo Show’s YouTube channel the fact that Jiri is indeed under special care. “But I have the feeling that Jiri has his mind set one level higher,” he emphasized the potential of the Czech fighter.

Jiri Procházka is fearlessly making his way in the most prestigious organization in the world. After just two fights, he has already worked his way to a title shot in the UFC.
In his last fight he defeated Dominic Reyes, who many believe even beat the legendary Jon Jones. Although the scoring judges saw it as a close fight in favor of Jones in the end.
Furthermore, the UFC ranked his KO as one of the top ten knockouts of 2021, which certainly gave Prochazka the confidence he needed.
“I can disagree with him on a lot of things, but I have to admit his confidence in what he does is very infectious,” Cejudo admired his apprentice. “He’s definitely part of a new evolution of fighters in this industry,” he added.
Cejudo also confirmed that the aforementioned Jon Jones will indeed be coming to train with Prochazka next week. “Jon Jones is coming next week and they will train together. Can you imagine that? Give me popcorn,” Cejudo finished.
