The UFC is using a position of power, they threatened Dvorak with termination of his contract, you have to keep your mouth shut and keep up, says Kincl. Why is Ngannou important?

Criticism of the UFC is becoming more frequent and louder. Fighter Patrik Kincl, who represents UFC fighter David Dvorak, also revealed details about how the best and most famous MMA organization on the planet works. He also appreciates the work being done by Francis Ngannou.
Although the UFC is the biggest and best MMA organization in the world, it is impossible to say that the conditions are excellent. The famous brand is backed by YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul, who wants the fighters to have better conditions.
Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who also defended his title against Ciryl Gane, is also putting pressure on the organization. The win apparently did not make the UFC boss happy, as Dana White did not award him the title, nor did he attend the press conference. The reason? He said he had to deal with something behind the scenes.
That the UFC is not happy about Ngannou’s win is also believed by Patrik Kincl, now an Octagon fighter, but who besides represents fighter David Dvorak, who is now the UFC’s top ten flyweight.
“The UFC doesn’t like public criticism. They have a well-established business, it plays well into their pockets, but the conditions for the fighters are not ideal. The contracts are one-sided, the fighters may be independent, but they can’t do anything. The contract forbids everything, they are not paid monthly, fighters from the USA complain about not having health insurance,” Kincl said in his podcast Fight & Talk.
He says the heavyweight champion’s attitude may be key in this regard. Ngannou himself fought for 10 months, all the while being without any additional income. The UFC did not allow him to box against Tyson Fury.
Recently, Ngannou revealed that the UFC offered him a $7 million contract, but the champ won’t be swayed by money alone anymore. He says it’s about principle. He’s trying to change the system so that fighters are either full employees and guaranteed good conditions, or let them be independent and can make money by boxing, for example.
Kincl believes that the situation could be improved by the formation of some sort of union to put pressure on the UFC. But a personality like Ngannou will definitely do its part.
Besides, the Octagon title challenger also revealed that he has already had one problem with the UFC as well.
“David Dvorak and I have dealt with a lot of unpleasantness in the UFC. We were threatened that he would terminate our contract if we didn’t go to the upcoming fight. They are taking advantage of a position of strength, but as a small player, even though David is a ten-man flyweight, there is nothing you can do about it. He’s got to keep his mouth shut and keep up. I tried to communicate somehow, luckily we managed to postpone the date,” Kincl said.
But as is obvious, it’s still not a level and ideal playing field.
