It looks like the Polish league will have one more Czech footballer. Today’s twenty-four-year-old birthday boy is heading to Polish Legia Warsaw, which will be left by veteran Artur Boruc, who will end his rich career in the summer.

Martin Jedlicka’s career is quite interesting. The now 24-year-old goalkeeper played for both Prague S, but eventually returned to his native Příbram, from where he moved to Mladá Boleslav as a youngster.

There he played a league game against Sparta, but the match was not a complete success. Subsequently, he went on an unusual away move to Dunajská Streda, where he eventually stayed and transferred. Jedlička is in his fourth season here, but now a transfer is imminent.

Polish Legia Warsaw is interested in his services and will lose their number one in the summer. Forty-one-year-old Artur Boruc will end his rich career and a replacement is needed now.

According to the latest information, it seems that Jedlicka has reached an agreement with Legia and should sign a contract with the richest Polish club until 2025.

Although Legia is the richest team, it is suffering from huge playing difficulties in the current season. Performance is so poor that it has just 15 points after 18 games.

That means penultimate place and a struggle to stay in the top flight. However, the whole spring is ahead and improvement can be expected, although the pre-season goals will certainly not be met.
