Four Kamaras played for the West African team! What reward will Sierra Leone players get for the sensational draw?
AFCON is in full swing. The tournament has been very specific so far in that very few goals have been scored. Of the 18 matches played, only one match has offered more than two goals (Cameroon 2-1 Burkina Faso). Algeria’s match against Sierra Leone was no exception, the outsider snatched a valuable 0-0 draw and the players can look forward to a well-deserved reward.

The Czech public does not pay much attention to the Africa Cup of Nations. Only Slavia fans could notice that their favourite Peter Olayinka is missing from the training camp in Portugal due to representing Nigeria. Anyway, in Nigeria’s opening game, Olayinka didn’t even make the substitutes’ bench.
Among the former players who played in the Czech league, Michael Ngadeu (Cameroon) and Guélor Kanga (Gabon) were among those who played in the championship. Simon Deli could get a chance for Ivory Coast on Wednesday.
Anyway, now to the topic. There was a big sensation on Tuesday, Algeria as the reigning champion of the African continent with star Riyad Mahrez lost to an outsider in Sierra Leone.
The players of the small West African country (comparatively as big as the Czech Republic) can look forward to a financial reward. All members of the squad will receive $1500, which is a little over 32,000 crowns, for the draw.
Really a ridiculous amount compared to the bonuses the national team in Europe receives. However, if they manage to win in the main group, they could collect up to 4500 dollars.
Another interesting thing that Czech fans noticed is that Sierra Leone had a quartet of Kamara players and another one sitting on the bench.
Even Glen Kamara, representing Finland, has roots in Sierra Leone. In a small African country, the surname Kamara is probably really common.
