Tereza Bledá became the first woman to win a title in the Octagon organization at the age of 20. Her dream, however, is to become the youngest female fighter in UFC history. With the belt she earned, it could actually come true. Moreover, in the world rankings, she has exclusively female fighters from the world’s best organization ahead of her.

The Octagon’s first female champion is only 20 years old. She won the belt at the end of 2021 when she outpointed Brazil’s Mabelly Lima in the first round. Her performance was utterly dominant.

Many people argue that Teresa Bledá got too weak an opponent, but the fact is that in the world rankings on the prestigious Fight Matrix server she was at the 39th position before the title fight and she was facing exclusively UFC fighters.

And now she’s moved up the rankings just a little bit more. The champion is now the 35th best female fighter in the world at her weight.

Aside from 7 fighters who fight in Bellator, ONE FC or LFA, Bledá really only has UFC fighters ahead of her. Her weight class is dominated by UFC champion Valentina Shevchenko.

It’s almost safe to say that it’s not a question of if, but when a Czech rising star will actually look into the world’s best organization.

Bledá has a few more months to fulfill her dream and become the youngest female fighter in UFC history. Can she dominate even against the world’s best female fighters?
