Patrik Schick confirmed on Sunday that he is back in great shape after his injury! After scoring four goals against Fürth, he also scored against Eintracht Frankfurt. How did the Czech striker do?
Leverkusen are in great form this season and a lot of the credit goes to Czech striker Patrik Schick. He is the top scorer of his team and is chasing cannonballer Robert Lewandowski in the scorers’ table.
Schick has been missing for several games, but has returned in great form after his injury. Although he did not make his presence felt against Leipzig, he made up for his absence against Fürth, for whom he scored four goals.
There was a lot of talk about the fact that this was the worst team in the German league, but a week later the Czech striker proved his quality again, this time against Frankfurt.
He opened the scoring in the fifth minute. As soon as the ball came to him in the hexagon, he knew what to do. He showed his shooting instincts and easily sent Leverkusen into the lead. He added a second goal in the 22nd minute when he scored from a penalty.
However, Frankfurt managed to equalise and the score was 2-2 in the 30th minute. And it didn’t end there. Eintracht dominated the field from the equaliser onwards. They scored three more goals before the end of the match and won 5:2.
However, Leverkusen could have lost by a much higher margin, Frankfurt missed several chances. Bayer scored almost nothing but two goals and lost deservedly.
Schick is second in the scorers’ table with 14 goals, Lewandowski has 16.
