Manchester makes plans for Solskjaer’s departure, Leicester coach in sights
Should Manchester United part ways with their current coach Solskjaer, they have already found his successor! It is the Leicester coach!
If Manchester United were to part ways with their current coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, they have already found his successor!
According to Jeremy Cross with the Daily Star , Manchester United management is slowly but surely preparing for the possible departure of current coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Although they have repeatedly expressed their support for him and promised a patient approach even in bad times.
This is exactly the kind of period the club is going through right now. The team is in a huge crisis, neither in terms of performance nor in terms of fighting spirit. After a promising start to the league season, one bad game after another has come and Manchester United currently occupy only sixth place in the table. The only league win in the last five games does not strengthen the Norwegian coach’s position.
Theories have started to emerge about who will replace Solskjaer in case of his departure. Jeremy Cross is clear – Brendan Rodgers from Leicester is the possible successor of the former Red Devils striker!
The Welsh coach, with experience at Swansea and Liverpool, has a very good reputation in the Premier League. He has always played attractive, attacking football with his teams, incorporating young hopefuls into the squad appropriately. He has also been behind the results, which, moreover, do not show too much fluctuation.
In his contract, Rodgers reportedly has a clause that will simply take him out of Leicester if a club playing in the Champions League expresses an interest in his services. It remains to be seen whether this coaching transfer will happen later this year, or perhaps after the current season is over.
