Brazil played Colombia in a World Cup qualifier and managed to beat them 1-0, which means they are already assured of qualification. Moreover, the Canaries were playing at home in Sao Paulo, so they were able to celebrate their success with their fans immediately.
Of course, Brazil’s biggest star, Neymar, was also present and celebrated in a very unconventional way by wearing a cowboy hat and dancing.
In the match against Colombia, the only scorer was Lyon’s Lucas Paqueta, who was assisted by Neymar. The star Brazilian has scored seven goals and collected eight assists in his last nine games for the national team.
Brazil have won 11 times and drawn once in their last 12 matches. Thus, they have accumulated an incredible 34 points in the qualification and thanks to this they can also enjoy qualification for their next World Cup, where they will be among the favourites.
The Canaries are the only nation to have participated in all 21 FIFA World Cups. They are followed by Germany with 19, Italy with 18, Argentina with 17 and Mexico with 16.
