Real Madrid to extend Modric’s contract
Luka Modric is already thirty-six years old, yet he is still a very important player for Real Madrid. The club’s management knows this, of course, and that’s why they want to extend the Croatian midfielder’s contract by a year.
Luka Modric is already thirty-six years old, yet he is still a very important player for Real Madrid. The club’s management knows this, of course, and that’s why they want to extend the Croatian midfielder’s contract for one year.
Luka Modric joined Real Madrid back in 2012 from Tottenham. After his arrival, he had to acclimatize at first, but later he became one of the key players of the team.
However, Modric is already 36 years old, an age at which most players have finished their active careers. However, Modric is very conscientious and has been great at his age.
Another advantage of this Croatian footballer is the fact that he has avoided serious injuries. If Modric was limited by an injury, it was always for a maximum of two weeks. Most of his Real teammates can’t say that.
The club’s management values his services immensely and sees him as an excellent footballer still. Therefore, according to the Spanish media, there is a consensus within the management that the club should extend Modric’s contract for another year.
However, age cannot be stopped, and therefore the management is also counting on the fact that Modric’s contribution to Real’s game will gradually diminish. However, he still intends to go ahead with the contract extension.
