Arsenal are looking for a goalscorer. He could bring in a Serie A star for €80m in the winter

Arsenal may have star names in their attack, but unfortunately without star numbers and stats. While Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks much better than last season, he is not getting any younger and it is questionable whether he can be a workhorse all year. So the Gunners are looking for a new signing.

Arsenal may have star names in their attack, but unfortunately without star numbers and stats. While Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks much better than last season, he is not getting any younger and it is questionable whether he can be a workhorse all year. So the Gunners are looking for a new signing.

After a tragic start to the season, Arsenal have managed to bounce back quickly. After 10 rounds of the Premier League, they are sixth, only 3 points behind third placed Manchester City.

However, the Gunners can’t boast of an excellent offense. They have scored just 12 goals in the league, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang accounting for 4 and midfielder Emile Smith Rowe scoring the other 3. No one else has scored more than a goal.

Alexandre Lacazette isn’t finding his great form, and the club may be afraid to rely on top scorer Aubameyang after last season’s failure. Moreover, both have already crossed the age limit of 30. It is therefore necessary to think about the future.

That could be the current Fiorentina star. Dusan Vlahovic in the jersey of the famous Italian team this season is following up last year’s extremely successful season and is asking for interest from bigger clubs. At 21 years old, he is showing incredible potential.

Moreover, he has a contract until 2023 and refuses to sign a new one. The Florence club will therefore be forced to sell him. According to Transfermarkt, the Serbian striker is valued at €50 million, but Fiorentina want €30 million more from Arsenal.

Arsenal spent a lot of money in the summer and it seems that they are not suffering from a financial shortage. Sky Sport Italia claim that the London outfit will have no problem paying Fiorentina the coveted €80 million. However, the player’s agent is said to be causing problems. He’s not sure if a move to Arsenal is a good move.

Besides Arsenal, clubs such as Juventus, Inter Milan, Tottenham and Manchester City are interested in the player. More suitors can be expected to come in if Vlahovic continues his great scoring form.
