Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has responded to speculation about Eden Hazard’s possible return to Chelsea. Rather surprisingly, Ancelotti has publicly given the green light to the transfer.
Eden Hazard has not caught on at all at his new club after his transfer to Real Madrid. He was supposed to be the player who would drag Real after Ronaldo’s departure, but due to injuries, the Belgian international didn’t play much at the Spanish club.
However, even in the games he has started, Hazard has not been in the best of form. Not surprisingly, speculation soon began to emerge about his possible return to Chelsea.
Now, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has also commented on the matter. “It is clear that every coach needs to be in close contact with his players. And if a player wants to leave, he has to leave,” the Real coach said on the transfer speculation of Hazard.
With this, Ancelotti is actually giving a public green light to this potential transfer. “I have never in my career convinced anyone to stay in the team if they wanted to leave,” Ancelotti added.
If the transfer does indeed work out, it could provide a much-needed boost for Hazard. Plus, he is returning to a team that is now performing perfectly.
He leads the Premier League table by three points ahead of Liverpool and is currently in second place in the Champions League.
