Lionel Messi is already thinking hard about what he will do after his career ends. The Argentine striker would like to return to Barcelona, where he has spent the vast majority of his career, and here he would like to help the club in its management.
For Lionel Messi, it was a very emotional farewell to the club that raised him and brought him to big football. Despite his reluctance, however, Messi had to leave Barcelona in the summer due to the club’s financial problems.
Now Messi is at PSG in Paris, where he continues to prove that he is still one of the best players in the world. However, Messi is now 34 years old and it is a good time to think about what will happen after his career ends.
Messi is quite clear about this. He would like to continue to manage a club, ideally Barcelona in Spain. And the position? The dream position is that of technical director of the club.
“I have always said that I would like to come back and help Barcelona in any way I can. I want to be useful and help the club to thrive. I would like to become technical director, but I don’t know if it will be at Barcelona. I would like to help the club because I love it. I would like it to continue to do well, continue to grow and still be one of the best in the world,” Messi said of his post-career plans.
What is certain, however, is that Messi will move to Barcelona. “It is almost certain that we will live there again. That’s what my wife wants and that’s what I want,” the Argentine footballer added.
But Lionel Messi has little reason to end his career just yet. His health is still holding up and so is his form. He is one of the best players at PSG and is still capable of deciding matches. So it seems that Messi’s career is not over yet.
