Conference league
Mourinho’s gladiators leave Norway in disgrace. But the conference league is not taken seriously by the other big clubs
AS Rome travelled to Norway to face Bodo/Glimt in the Conference Europa League. José Mourinho sent the “B-team” on the field from the middle, but the six-goal drubbing is still over the line! Tottenham and Slavia also go home without points.

There was a lot of discussion before the season about how the big clubs would approach the Conference Europa League and today we got a clear answer! They see it as a necessary evil. How else to explain the poor results of big clubs like AS Roma and Tottenham.
Especially José Mourinho, whose charges literally froze in Norway, where they won 6-1. The Nordic team is now at the top of Group C with a one-point lead over their opponents.
The former employer of the Portuguese coach lost only 1:0 to Vitesse, but is much worse off in the table. Tottenham are currently in third place with 4 points.
It should be added that both of the aforementioned big clubs have been saving their players for league matches. Spurs will face a tough London derby with West Ham on Sunday and AS Rome will welcome the so far sovereign Napoli, which has won all 8 league matches and has a score of 19: 3.
This approach thus clearly demonstrates the fact that the European Conference League is simply not interesting for these clubs and they approach it more as a way of testing young talent.
We must also mention the first Czech team that played in the European Cup on Thursday. However, Slavia lost 1: 0 to Maccabi Haifa and are now four points behind the leaders Feyenoord.
