Walk about Rakic: I can’t pay attention to him right now. He has to understand. I want to go straight to the belt
Jiri Prochazka is probably the best Czech MMA fighter at the moment. The 28-year-old Czech is constantly being challenged by Aleksandar Rakic for a fight, but he is currently the understudy for a title fight, so he doesn’t want to take anything away from that chance.
Jiri Prochazka is probably the best Czech MMA fighter at the moment. The 28-year-old Czech is constantly being challenged by Aleksandar Rakic for a fight, but he is currently the understudy for a title fight, so he doesn’t want to take anything away from that chance. What did he say about Rakish?
Jiri Prochazka has a title shot in the UFC. That’s because he is the understudy for the title fight between Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira. After that, he is the main favorite to challenge the champion.
However, Aleksandar Rakic has been actively campaigning for a fight with him in recent months, but he hasn’t earned much of Prochazka’s attention. The Czech has only now commented on him.
“I can’t pay attention to him now, or to his statements, which I would like to respond to sometimes, but I can’t now. Where attention goes, energy goes. I can’t afford it right now. Perhaps he needs to understand it from my point of view.
He needs to realize that I’ve been offered a chance to go for the title. As a fighter, I made it clear to the UFC at the beginning my intention that I want to go to the belt the direct way, all other offers and options fall away,” said Prochazka on his YouTube channel.
Prochazka’s goal is clear and he’s not about to change that. He’s gone on vacation, he’s fasted, he’s trained. Procházka is different in many ways, but his preparation seems to be working.
Preparation for a possible title fight is well underway. According to his own words, he has “floppy disks” on both fighters and in case one of them drops out, he will devote all his time to him.
“If one of those options comes up, within a week I’ll put that guy in my head and I’m with him 24/7,” he added.
