After Martin Buday, another fighter who showed up in the Octagon will fight for a contract in the UFC. This is Javid Basharat, who was part of the planned pyramid for the title, but in the end he only showed up at Oktagon 19.
Javid Basharat will fight for a UFC contract as part of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series project. The Slovakian Martin Buday recently took part in this event.
A month ago, he announced that his fight had to be cancelled due to visa issues, but now it seems to have happened and the Afghan fighter will fight for the contract.
It was officially announced on Tuesday by his agency Paradigm Sports, Basharat will show up on October 26. His opponent, however, will be a previously undefeated wrestler.
He is 40-year-old Oron Kahlon, who has 16 fights under his belt. Moreover, he has always finished his opponents before the limit.
The fact that he was supposed to show at bantamweight a month ago also plays against the Afghan, but he will go lightweight with Kahlon.
So Basharat will face a really tough opponent, but he may not be offered a similar chance later on.
