Pochettino revealed his favourite to win the Champions League. But he would like to meet Real Madrid in the final

During the national break, most of the league coaches had a chance to take a breather and regain their strength for the autumn. However, Mauricio Pochettino also gave his time to the press, specifically appearing on El Partidazo de COPE to talk about the Champions League and also a hot topic – Kylian Mbappé.

Pochettino has assembled such a stellar team that nothing but winning is out of the question. So far in Ligue 1, the Parisian side have only lost points once, the last time they lost to Rennes. In the French league this season, there will probably be no surprises.

However, the Parisians are also doing well in the Champions League, having last time downed one of the biggest favourites for the overall victory – Manchester City. For Pochettino, however, the biggest favourite for the overall championship is in another group, namely Group H, which contains Chelsea, who according to the Argentine coach are currently the strongest team in the competition. However, the last time the London side lost to Juventus.

The 49-year-old coach would like to slip into the final with his players and would like Real Madrid as his opponents.

On this occasion, of course, the performers on El Partidazo de COPE could talk about nothing else but Kylian Mbappe, who is being lured by the White Ballet.

“If we had reached the final with Real Madrid, why wouldn’t I have let Mbappé kick a penalty in the last minute. I have no doubts about his professionalism and he will be 200% professional until the last day. I have no doubt about that,” Pochettino is clear about his attacking gem.

Mbappé has been praised a lot by the Argentine coach. “Mbappé is a calm boy, with a great social sense and loves football. He is still only 22 years old, but he is already coping well with difficult situations in life. I have no doubt that he can face any challenge.”

However, the French super talent will not stay in Paris for long and next year he will wear the jersey of Real Madrid, as all indications suggest. So all the fans in Ligue 1 must enjoy every minute of it, because soon they will only be watching Mbappé on TV.

Moreover, it would be a very spicy situation if Pochettino’s dream comes true and he and PSG face Real Madrid in the final, in which Mbappé could appear on the pitch in the white jersey.
