David Zima has played his second match in the starting line-up of FC Torino. At home, he kept the opponent’s offense at bay for a long time until Manuel Locatelli brought the Reds’ defense down in the 86th minute. Three points for the favourite.
David Zima, after his transfer from Slavia in August, appeared in the starting line-up in the first match. Subsequently, he did not play in two games at all and last week he came on against Venice in the second half.
He was able to enjoy the Turin derby from the opening whistle. Koffi Djidji’s sending off in the last league game helped a lot, so the Ivory Coast international could not play against Juventus.
FC Torino kept the favourites at bay for a long time, Zima and co. were perhaps even better in the first half, but unluckily conceded at the end from Manuel Locatelli’s kick. It was one of three shots on target for the Old Lady.
Juventus thus not only dominated the Turin derby, moving into eighth place and thus leapfrogging their rivals, but also ending their opponent’s four-match unbeaten streak. Three birds with one stone!
As for the Olomouc native, he notched three defensive saves in the match and twice kicked the ball away on nascent chances. He also took two shots and thirty-three of his forty passes were successful. Whoscored.com gave him a grade of 6.59.
