A black weekend for the favourites! Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG, Manchester United and Ajax lost points
This weekend was not really a weekend of victories for the favourites. Bettors often tore the ticket as Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG, Manchester United and Ajax lost points.
This weekend was not really a weekend of victories for the favourites. Bettors often tore the ticket as Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG, Manchester United and Ajax lost points.
Manchester United started the weekend with a surprising result. The Red Devils failed to beat Everton at home and only drew 1-1 after goals from Martial and Townsend.
Another giant who lost points was Barcelona. But in its current situation, the 0:2 defeat to Atlético Madrid is not a surprise, but rather an expected result.
On Sunday, PSG lost their match in a shocking manner. The Parisians, with the star four-leaf clover Neymar-Mbappé-Messi-Di María, could not even score a goal against Rennes and lost 0:2. It was the first loss for Mauricio Pochettino’s charges this season in Ligue 1.
Another very surprising result took place in the Bundesliga. Bayern Munich lost 1: 2 to Frankfurt, for whom it was the first win of the season.
The loss of Ajax, who lost 0:1 at home to Utrecht, was certainly a surprise. It was the first loss of the season for the Dutch team.
In Spain, Real Madrid came as a real shock. The latter played Espanyol Barcelona, but lost 1:2 to the newcomer to the competition. The home side took a two-goal lead, which was only reduced by Benzema in the 71st minute.
Apart from Manchester United, all the losses have something in common, neither team lost the lead in their league. PSG continue to rule Ligue 1, Bayern are still top of the Bundesliga, as are Real Madrid in La Liga and Ajax in the Eredivisie. Manchester United are fourth, two points behind first-placed Chelsea.
