Minister Kulhánek demands apology from Scottish association, reason for labelling Czech children as rotten fruit
Czech Foreign Minister Jakub Kulhánek summoned British Ambassador Nick Archer and asked him to call on the Scottish Football Association to apologise.
Jakub Kulhánek, the Czech Foreign Minister, summoned British Ambassador Nick Archer and asked him to call on the Scottish Football Association to apologize or to distance itself from Marvin Bartley, the Equality and Diversity Advisor, who called Czech children bad fruit.
After Sparta’s match against Rangers on Thursday, fans of the Czech team were enjoying a good result, but abroad they were dealing with something very different.
It was the alleged racism of children in the audience, which was immediately opposed by the majority of the Czech football public. In the UK, however, the view was very different.
This was mainly due to Glen Kamara’s lawyer, who repeatedly gave interviews to fuel the case and once again draw some attention to himself.
The highlight was a statement by Scottish equality and diversity adviser Marvin Bartley, who described Czech children as bad fruit.
It was also for this reason that Foreign Secretary Jakub Kulhánek summoned British Ambassador Nick Archer, whom he wants to call on the Scottish Football Association to apologise.
Another option, according to him, is to dissociate himself from Mr Bartley’s statement. He has not given him a deadline for an apology. He expects a rebuff to calm relations between the Czech Republic and the whole of Britain.
