West Ham fans discuss the form of Tomas Soucek! Most stand firmly behind him
The Czech midfielder hasn’t been doing so well so far this season. His numbers don’t meet expectations and he’s seen a little less in the game than the fans imagine. Even his performance against Wales was not what we are used to, yet most fans are behind him!
Tomáš Souček is not doing so well so far this season. His numbers aren’t meeting expectations and he’s seen a little less in the game than the hyped fans imagine. Even his performance against Wales was not what we are used to, yet most fans are behind him!
After the last match of the Czech national team against Wales, Jaroslav Šilhavý also noticed the sub-optimal performance of the centre players (Alex Kral and Tomáš Souček). Why is this so? Overplaying and above all sporting form.
The burly defensive midfielder is getting an incredible amount of sport, after all he plays on two fronts and almost everything, he has recorded 5518 minutes since the start of last season. Of course, the swing had to come and now it is important that an injury doesn’t come, as in the case of Vladimir Coufal.
A certain group of West Ham fans on the social networking site Twitter have sparked a discussion amongst themselves as to what Hammers supporters think of Soucek’s current form.
The fans’ reactions
The administrator of one of WHU’s biggest fan sites wrote. “Very out of form.” But at that moment a lot of defenders of our national captain came out.
“You’re all too hard on him. He was the one who saved our midfield last season. One month of decline in form and you turn your backs on him. Form is temporary, class is permanent,” wrote one fan.
“He’s not playing as bad as everyone says. We just have very high expectations after his performances last season. I love him,” wrote another Hammer fan.
Subsequently, many fans agree that he is just overplayed both at club and national team level. Soucek plays an incredibly demanding style of football. He puts up a tough fight and his radius of action all over the pitch is at times unbelievable. Therefore, logically, sometimes there will be a drop in performance.
