Home side Porto earned a point in their first Champions League match with a draw against Atlético Madrid. Liverpool had three points as they beat AC Milan in their opening game.
Salah was the first to score in the match. By the end of the first half, Sadio Mané added a goal as James Milner found him with a precise pass. After 45 minutes, the score was 2-0 to Liverpool.
In the second half, Liverpool came out with a lot of pace. The Reds didn’t let up even though they had the lead. Salah increased the score to 3: 0 with his second goal of the game. In the 75th minute, Mehdi Taremi scored for the home side with a header.
Liverpool’s three-goal lead was restored by substitute Firmino, who shot into an open net. The Brazilian striker then added another goal. The final score was 5-1 to the Reds.
Jordan Henderson played a very important game in his career. The Reds captain was already playing his 400th game in a Liverpool jersey.
The English team went into the match as the favourite and managed this role with ease. His next game is against Atlético Madrid. FC Porto will take on AC Milan.
