Who would have thought just a few months ago that Slavia and Sparta would unite to face a common enemy. However, after the utterly crazy behaviour of the British side, this is a reality and even Jaroslav Tvrdík, the boss of Slavia, has expressed his support for his rival.

The incident in the spring doesn’t need much recalling. Ondřej Kúdela approached Glen Kamara and whispered something to him. The Rangers midfielder accused him of racism and covered the cameras in the booth, then held out his fist and ran away. Kamara subsequently changed his statement four times and although racism was not proven Kudel was given a 10 match ban.

It was thus abundantly clear that Kamara would garner no sympathy from local fans when he came to Prague with Rangers again. What does it matter that in the stadium of Slavia’s biggest rival. In this case, both camps are one.

so 10,000 children under 14 welcomed Kamara with boos and whistles, as they have done at football stadiums for unpopular footballers for years. But they took it from the complete opposite end in Britain, where they accused young children of racism.

Kamar’s lawyer, Aamer Anwar, who is an activist in the Black Lives Matter struggle, was the most involved. He likes to bask in the publicity, so he attacked all the kids in the stadium for being racist and that Prague has a big problem with racism.

This logically did not please Sparta, who issued a statement entitled. Even from their biggest rival, Slavia.

“We support Sparta Prague’s statement and fully agree with its content, ” the chairman of the board of directors of Slavia Prague wrote on his Twitter account.

Tvrdík received a lot of praise and thanks among both Slavia and Sparta fans for his support. Even rivalry must sometimes go aside when it comes to a more serious matter.
