Bavarian giant Bayern Munich hosted a newcomer in the fifth round of the Bundesliga. The Bavarians clearly showed that Bochum cannot match its qualities and scored 7 goals.
Apart from the opening round, when Bayern only drew, they won all the other matches. They are still proving that they are one of the best clubs not only in Germany but in the whole world. Bochum managed to beat Mainz, otherwise they lost all the other games in the league.
In the 17th minute Bayern Munich scored the first goal, which was the winning goal, because Bochum could only produce one shot on target, but it did not result in a goal. Leroy Sané scored a beautiful goal from a direct kick.
Ten minutes later, the second goal was scored. Sané was the passer this time, releasing Joshua Kimmich, who increased the score to 2: 0.
Two more goals were scored before the end of the first half. Serge Gnabry added a third goal with an individual effort. No Bayern player scored the fourth goal. Vassilios Lampropoulos sent the ball into his own net.
Another goal, this time in the second half, was scored by Bayern’s top scorer Robert Lewandowski. After an hour of play, the score was already 5-0. But it was not over. Joshua Kimmich scored his second goal in the 65th minute. Substitute Maxim Choupo-Moting increased the score to 7:0 by heading the ball into the net on several occasions.
Bayern took the Bundesliga newcomer cleanly and kept the three mandatory points at home. They are still in first place, but Wolsburg, who haven’t played their match yet, can overtake them. Bayern play their next game at another newcomer, this time Fürth. Bochum will play Stuttgart.
