Polish wrestler Jan Blachowicz, who is the UFC’s welterweight champion, is now preparing for a title defense against Glover Teixeira. If he beats him, he would like to face Jiri Prochazka, whom he says he would knock out.
Jan Blachowicz’s plan is clear. First to beat Glover Teixeira, then Jiri Prochazka, preferably before the limit.
In an interview with MMA Fighting, he spoke specifically about a possible fight with the Czech fighter, who was last defeated in December 2015.
“I’m the champion, which means I’m the best here. My job is to dish out the punches. I respect Glover, but when it comes down to it, I’ll have no choice but to shut him down.
The same goes for others, like Prochazka. I know he’s got a dangerous style, but at the same time, I don’t doubt his abilities. Jirka will go down to a knockout,” said Blachowicz.
The Polish fighter believes that the fight with Prochazka will happen. And according to him, this fight should take place somewhere in Europe, preferably in Poland, as it would interest a huge number of fans.
From the point of view of Czech MMA, it would most likely be the most interesting fight of a Czech fighter in the history of the sport itself.
