Pudilova in UFC? She and her team have a different opinion, but I don’t think she should be there, says promoter Novotný
Lucie Pudilova had to leave the UFC after four straight defeats in early 2020, so she joined the Octagon organization, where she held a three-fight winning streak. Unfortunately, the fourth fight went wrong and her dream of returning to the UFC is gone.
Lucie Pudilova had to leave the UFC after four straight defeats in early 2020, so she joined the Octagon organization, where she held a three-fight winning streak. Unfortunately, the fourth fight went wrong and her dream of returning to the UFC is gone.
Lucie Pudilova is one of the best Czech MMA fighters. After her return from the UFC, she confirmed that in the Octagon, where she tried to win 4 fights in a row for the first time in her career.
But she didn’t succeed. She defeated Cornelia Holm, Marta Waliczek and Maija Suotamova on points, but she was not enough for Talita Bernard.
This left many wondering if she could head back to her dream UFC after the win, which she and her team are hoping for. Promoter Ondrej Novotny, however, sees it differently. Should she be there?
“I think not. But that’s my feeling when I see how the UFC is building now, who they’re taking. I think she shouldn’t even be there,” he said in an interview with Kaocko.
“So far, it would be in quotes stupid. But I understand that she sees it differently, the team sees it differently. We’re still able to give her more than the UFC. And that includes money, fam and other things.
The UFC is a nice tinsel, they give you a nice sweatsuit and three expensive letters, but what do you have left that they know about you back home. What about partners, sponsors, how many fights do you have a year? One, do you enjoy it?” he added.
